Jens Wagner was one of the youngest students of two spiritual masters from India starting in 1987. He completed a classical yoga teacher training and received the teachings of these masters in silence, but without recognizing the context of the teachings. He discontinued his training in 1995 after experiencing inner boundaries.
He then lived in inner seclusion for 23 years, during which he studied various esoteric schools and searched for answers to his questions. During this time, he worked as a doctor specializing in naturopathy and anthroposophical medicine and was active in politics and as an author for peace organizations. In 2018, he recognized the meaning of the inner path during three ayahuasca ceremonies with shamans in Colombia, South America. He then completed his interrupted spiritual training, passed his yoga teacher examination, and remembered the spiritual name he received during his initiation by his guru: Śūnyatā (Emptiness).
In 2021, he founded the Ocean of Devotion project, a mystery school and since then has taught as a spiritual teacher in the form of lectures (satsang) and shared his knowledge in seminars and coaching sessions. The themes of Śūnyatā revolve around the inner path as taught in Yoga, Buddhism, Zen, Magic, Shamanism, Western esotericism, and other traditions. The importance of the teacher-student relationship and the journey from one teacher to the next, from one tradition to the next, are important elements of Śūnyatā's teachings.
